MVSD Library Mission and Policies

The mission of the Mill Valley Middle School Library Program is to empower students to be critical thinkers and problem solvers, effective and ethical users and producers of ideas and information, and lifelong readers and learners. The MVMS Library provides equitable access to its diverse resources and services to all and upholds the principles of intellectual freedom and free inquiry. The MVMS Library provides resources to support a balanced education for all students by enabling them to achieve intellectual and personal growth in an environment that fosters social-emotional development, equity, and creativity in order to be responsible, contributing members of our community, wise stewards of our natural environment, and thrive as global citizens in a rapidly changing world.
